Military: These Strobes make an excellent marker tool for, Point Man,
Entry Man, Team Leader, Sniper Position, (shielded), and Medic/Ground Medivac.
Law Enforcement, equal as well, and including S& R ops, and target ID.
200;
Smaller, lighter, longer burn time
300;
Larger, brighter, less burn time
Visability;
Both will produce clear/visable signaling for 1 mile in most situations. Free
line of sight, clear visability, minimal ground ambient light, visibility can be up to 5
miles out, w/Gen 2 & 2+NVG. The Strobe 200/300 uses 895nm, the shortest wavelength.
Full charge both produce @60/70 flashes per minute. Reduced strength, minimum 7 FPM.
Ambient Light;
both combat models come in black body's. No light escapes, however, the IR lens
cap does produce a 1% visable light flash at up to @ 2+/- ft. Over 5' there is no
visable light.
Pro's/Con's;
With minimal light flash visable, easy to find w/o NVG at night. If enemy
snipers are present, will give indication of 'casualty' location on ground. Plainly
visable to enemy combatants with NV capabillities.
Accessory;
'C' Cell conversion kit, $2.95, converts from 'C' Cell
to 'AA'. This does produce a lighter Strobe, but also reduces burn time and power.
